Q. Does Recycling Works have a glass drop-off location?
A. Unfortunately, we cannot accept drop-offs at our facility due to contamination and safety concerns. If you live in Missoula, consider subscribing to our curbside glass recycling service. If you live outside Missoula, check our Events & Updates page to find out the time and location of our next drop-off event. We host regular events in Missoula and Hamilton.
Q. What are the holidays that will affect my pick-up?
A. Recycling Works will be closed for the following holidays during 2023:
Memorial Day – Monday, May 29th, 2023
Independence Day Weekend – Monday, July 3rd to Tuesday July 4th, 2023
Labor Day – Monday, September 4th, 2023
Thanksgiving Day – Thursday, November 23rd, 2023
Christmas Day – TBD
New Year’s Day – TBD
Our office may also be closed for a few days around the above holidays based on our drivers’ schedules.
We will do our best to accommodate for missed holiday pickups.

Q. When is my pickup day?

Compost is picked up EVERY Friday.
Q. What can/cannot go into my glass and compost bins?

Q. What time does my bin have to be outside on pickup day?
A. Please make sure glass and/or compost bins are outside by 7am on your pickup day. Our driver works an 8-10 hour day starting at 7am, so please do not worry if your bin is still full until mid/late-afternoon.
Q. How do I upgrade/downgrade my service?
A. For all service changes, call us at (406)-215-4650 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. If you can’t reach us by phone or email, please leave a voicemail with your name and request and we will respond promptly to confirm the change.
Q. Can I pay online? How do I adjust my billing?
A. If you are signed up for quarterly invoicing, you will receive a bill to your email every 3 months, on February 1st, May 1st, August 1st, and November 1st. You can then pay by credit card, ACH, or by mailing a check to “Recycling Works” at 202 Brooks St, Missoula, MT 59801.
For customers enrolled in auto-billing, please let us know by phone or email if you would like to make any changes or updates to your account.
Q. Can I drop glass off if I miss my pickup day?
A. Yes. If you are a current curbside customer, we offer a drop-off location for you to use on a one-time basis. Please let us know by phone or email if you need to utilize this option.
Q. Can I put out extra glass on my pickup day?
A. For your first scheduled pickup, you can leave out any and all glass you have saved up and we’ll collect it at no additional charge.
After your first pickup, extra glass can still be left out by your bin and you’ll be charged $0.50 per extra gallon.
Q. My bin is missing. How do I get a replacement?
A. Please call (406)-215-4650 or email email@example.com to schedule a bin replacement. The first replacement bin is free. Any subsequent replacements will result in a charge of $9 or $19 to your account, depending on bin size.
If you live in a high foot-traffic area, we can work with you to make adjustments and avoid those pesky bin thieves.
