Q. What are the holidays that will affect my pick-up?
A. The holidays that Recycling Works may be closed for during the 2021 year are as follows:
New Year’s Day- Friday, January 1st, 2021
Memorial Day- Monday, May 31st, 2021
Independence Day- Monday, July 5th, 2021
Thanksgiving Day- Thursday, November 25th, 2021
Christmas Day- Friday, December 24th, 2021
NOTE: The RW office may be closed for a certain number of days around the above holidays based on our drivers’ schedules. We will do our best to accommodate for missed holiday pick-ups. If you are a customer, please check your email or visit our News & Updates page for advance updates.
Q. When is my pick-up day?

Compost is picked up EVERY Friday.
Q. What can/cannot go into my glass and compost bins?

Q. What time does my bin have to be outside on pick-up day?
A. Please make sure glass and/or compost bins are outside by 7am on your pick-up day. Our driver works an day starting at 7am, so please do not worry if your bin is still full until mid/late-afternoon.
Q. How do I upgrade/downgrade my service?
A. For all service changes, call us at (406)-215-4650 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. If you can’t reach us by phone or email, please leave a voicemail with your name and request and we will respond promptly to confirm the change.
Q. Can I put my service on pause if I leave for a few months in Summer/Winter?
A. Of course. Please let us know in advance by calling (406)-215-4650 or emailing email@example.com. We can automatically restart your service on a predetermined date, or you can call or email us whenever you’d like to restart.
Q. Can I pay online? How do I adjust my billing?
A. If you are signed up for quarterly invoicing, you will receive a bill to your email every 3 months, on February 1st, May 1st, August 1st, and November 1st. You can then pay by credit card, ACH, or by mailing a check to “Recycling Works” at 202 Brooks St, Missoula, MT 59801.
For customers enrolled in auto-billing, please let us know by phone or email if you would like to make any changes or updates to your account. We are currently developing a customer portal for updating payment information and hope to have it up and running soon.
Q. Can I drop glass off if I miss my pick-up day?
A. Yes — if you are a current customer, we offer a drop-off location for you to use on a one-time basis. Please let us know by phone or email if you need to utilize this option.
If you are not signed up for monthly service, we encourage you to recycle your glass at our next quarterly drop-off event. Please visit News & Updates for more information.
Q. Can I put out extra glass on my pick-up day?
A. For your first scheduled pick-up, you can leave out any and glass you have saved up and we’ll collect it free of charge. If you have an event and collect more glass than usual, please let us know and we’d be happy to accommodate.
Any extra glass left out by your bin without notice will result in an extra $.50 per gallon charge to your account.
Q. My bin is missing. How do I get a replacement?
A. Please call (406)-215-4650 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to get put on the schedule for a bin replacement. The first replacement bin is free, but any subsequent replacements will result in a bucket fee charge of $9 or $19 to your account (depending on your bin size).
If you live in a high foot-traffic area, we can work with you to make certain adjustments and avoid those pesky bin-thieves.
