Upcoming Fall 2021 Glass Drop-off Dates

Hi! We’ve got several glass recycling drop-off events taking place soon.

First up, we’ve got our second-ever event in Seeley Lake taking place on Saturday, October 2nd at the Seeley Lake Community Foundation (3150 MT-83 N) from 10am-2pm. All proceeds from this event will be donated to Seeley Lake Elementary School.

Next, we’ll be down at Ravalli County Fairgrounds in Hamilton from 10am-3pm on Saturday, October 9thTo enter the event, use the North gate on Old Corvallis Road past the fair buildings.

Last up — our final drop-off event for 2021 will be in Missoula on Sunday, December 5th from 9am-2pm at Imagine Nation Brewing on Broadway.

As always, glass must be clean with no lids, caps, or corks. We accept all colors of food-grade glass, but we cannot take Pyrex, windows, or lightbulbs.

For all of the above events, the suggested donation is $1 per gallon of glass.

Hope to see you there! Thanks!

Is there a way to get email notices of your recycling events? I missed the Sept. Missoula one (driving up to Seeley Lake for next one). I did not see any FB announcements either, but that could be FB silliness! 😉 Thanks!

      Hi Kathy,

Apologies for the very delayed response! We’re going to start sending out reminder emails and text reminders for upcoming Missoula drop-off events — probably around a week before the scheduled event. If you’d like to be added to an email or text reminder list, please send us an email at info@recyclingworksmt.com.

      Thanks!

For those of us who will be out of town during your December drop off event, is there any way to drop off glass before then? I’m interested in a one-time drop off, not a monthly service because Our household doesn’t generate that much glass waste in a month.

But since Pacific stopped taking glass and Target dropped their glass program, and the Good Food Store stopped taking wide mouth jars for reuse, I’ve accumulated a small mountain of glass that I can’t bear the thought of land filling. There are 8 paper bags full of glass. 36 brown beer bottles (many picked up along roadsides), one large bag full of wine bottles and the rest is clear glass.

I would make a donation, of course, but it can’t be exorbitant.

Thanks for what you’re doing to prevent waste of landfill space.
